I have been observing and drawing plants for the last seven years, since my first artist’s residency in India. The fascination that began with that trip has continued and deepened. I am fascinated by the forms and colors, fascinated to discoverdifferences and commonalities. The more I look, the more closely I look, the more I draw, the more I discover.

I draw and paint on fabric. I sew together the fabric into gateways, which I install in the landscape. The gateways bring viewers’ attention to the plants and trees in their environments.
