I like the colors and forms of pigs; the way they balance on tiny trotters and the expressiveness of their faces. People associate sheep with simplicity, gullibility, innocence. We say that sheep are followers, not leaders, we count them to fall asleep, they are the counterpoint to the big bad wolf. I am interested in the forms of sheep and how to suggest their mass, texture and movement with as few marks as possible. These drawings or paintings were made with two hands simultaneously; one hand held a watercolor stick and another held a brush.
